we brought down the cost
At Pickerri, our priority is ensuring that our pickers maximize their earnings. To support this, we've taken steps to reduce daily expenses. We're excited to announce a significant reduction in the costs of car rentals, gasoline, and guesthouse accommodation. Depending on whether a car is rented, daily expenses now range from just €25 to €30 per picker. We also initiated a system where we buy back used tools from the Pickers at their departure or at the end of the season. In the past days, we have also provided scouts to show our Pickers the best berry locations, thereby increasing their harvests significantly. We hope these savings will contribute to a more rewarding experience for everyone!

We're excited to share that in the last month, the average Picker at Pickerri who have picked both cloudberries and Blueberries over the one month period has roughly earned the average living wage in Finland. More determined Pickers have more than exceeded this threshold. The average living wage in Finland is about €1160, while the average Picker at Pickerri is making €1204 in a month after expenses, using current daily earnings. The top 5 cumulative Pickers have made €4153, €3014, €2208, €2030.4 and €1985.8 respectively. We are so proud of you all !
The 2025 Blueberry Season is Still On-going...
Wild berry picking in Finland is a rewarding yet challenging activity that involves joining teams to hunt or forage for berries in the scenic Finnish forests. Pickerri offers a platform to organize these independent teams and purchase the harvested berries. The 2024 blueberry picking season is currently underway, and applications are still open.
